About me

[edit]

What's your problem? Just because I'm called Jean doesn't mean I'm that same guy. Just because an edit comes from a sockpuppet user is it bad? Does the fact that I like that edit because it has its sources make me a sockpuppet? I have no problem with you, so you come to bother me and slander me. I could say that you are a sockpuppet of some other guy, you wouldn't like that. So don't do to others what you wouldn't like done to you. Treat others as you would like to be treated. JeanMercier90 (talk) 16:49, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do all articles created by socks have to be deleted? Can I work on this? Bearian (talk) 03:28, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to contest the deletion, I'm not going to argue about it. The article does need a fair amount of copyediting though. And given the majority of references are in Spanish, it'll require a decent knowledge of the language. Barry Wom (talk) 11:12, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try and touch it up with @Bearian. In the meantime, I'll object. Not sure if we need a separate article on the assassination, but cursory searches show a lot of English-language sources from credible publishers. Rcfische2 (talk) 21:48, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, folks. Bearian (talk) 21:54, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
With no amendments to the article in the interim, I've reapplied for deletion. Barry Wom (talk) 04:55, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, you piece of poop. I don't know nor do I care what problem you had with the person who created that sock account, but that doesn't mean you should ruin the constructive edits he makes. You are only showing that you are worse than him. Let's be completely frank; you disrespect Wikipedia, you disrespect others with your actions, and you disrespect yourself. You as a Wikipedia editor are embarrassing, you as a person are pitiful, and you as a man (if you are one) are disgusting. If you had dignity, you would withdraw from Wikipedia, but not before reversing the disasters you made. What doesn't cost you time turns into a disaster. A source is a source regardless of the language, but you clearly have a phobia towards Spanish speakers regardless of whether they are from Spain or Latin America. Have dignity and withdraw from Wikipedia. Damn you and all the stubborn people who vandalize in a sneaky manner and sow intrigue. Who sows winds, reaps storms. 2800:484:738F:15F0:8D25:6CA2:D10A:39BE (talk) 02:42, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Barry Wom (talk) 11:57, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's already too clear; you have a strange phobia, possibly xenophobia, towards Spanish speakers, so much so that you go to the Spanish Wikipedia to do these things. Reading that link carefully, the man has Asperger's syndrome; and everything seems to indicate that you and other editors also hate people with Asperger's. 2800:484:738F:15F0:14D3:9A5A:4484:FA0F (talk) 16:20, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A spaniard/spanish phobia you have. You're a big turd and I dedicate you this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64LvX1Uvn-Y&rco=1. 2800:484:738F:15F0:31:32BA:D825:1EEA (talk) 22:14, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

About you

[edit]

Apparently you are still causing problems on Wikipedia, the record does not lie. You lack dignity as you were told before. 2800:484:738F:15F0:B9D4:5118:BC3D:9B58 (talk) 16:29, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The truth about you

[edit]

You're the most big türd in all the world. You are nothing more than a lõser who loves to bully others, believing himself to be better when he is nothing more than a huge pile of excrement. You must sit over this. 186.155.202.137 (talk) 19:13, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Robot Chicken

[edit]

Check your changes. You are removing categories about "animated debuts", not categories about endings. Do a text comparison between versions. Dimadick (talk) 14:46, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, apologies, I didn't notice deletion of the categories were included in my revert. Barry Wom (talk) 14:47, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

RfC notification: film gauge styling

[edit]

Based on the discussion 16 mm vs 16mm film, I have created a request for comment on the MOS:NUM talk page. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments on the discussion page, which can be found here: RfC on film gauge styling. Edit warring on Kubo and the Two Strings

[edit]
Stop icon

WARNING: Stop edit warring WP:WAR WP:3RR

You have twice deleted good salient and referenced material from Kubo and the Two Strings without any justification. You have also edited in unsourced and erroneous information. Please halt this vandalism of the article. You have made 3 reversions in the last 24 hours, under WP:3RR you are not permitted any more.

Go to the Kubo and the Two Strings talk page and argue why you believe that the use of Japanese terms (with the kanji given once) for crucial plot artifacts is contrary to the point of the article. You have an uphill task as these are integral to the film and it is about Japan and its culture. Camsteerie (talk) 12:38, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Barry Wom
@Masem
And presumably you are also under investigation for not just edit warring but sock puppetry too, or have you closed your Larry Mow account down? Camsteerie (talk) 18:00, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Camsteerie:, stop with the sock allegations please. They're unfounded.-- Ponyobons mots 19:07, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sock identity

[edit]

You mentioned at WP:3RN that you may know which sockmaster the impersonation account belongs to. Can you let me know the account? Note that they're also editing as JohnnyCastwhite90.-- Ponyobons mots 19:02, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Given both JohnnyCastwhite90 and a sock of JeanCastì have edited the Superman (1978 film) article [2], it's virtually certain to be him. Barry Wom (talk) 19:11, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've gone through and tagged the accounts. If they pop up again you can report them at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JeanCastì.-- Ponyobons mots 19:27, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Baked beans page number

[edit]

I will did the page number but will have to wait until I get home to get it off the bookshelf Sharnadd (talk) 06:30, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the "quote=" paramater to confirm the wording on which you are relying. Barry Wom (talk) 10:59, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
the discussion on the beans and ingredients used in medieval times goes over several pages. Do you mean the part that mentions the medieval cookbook that shows a recipe for beans in that period a part that mentions the spices used in that period or how beans were prepared in general. I don't think it is necessary to always add a quote when talking about what was mentioned in general in a book as that can take a lot of room Sharnadd (talk) 11:05, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All it requires is a quotation to back up the claim you're adding, i.e. They included a range of spices and onions in the dish. A sentence or two should suffice. Use ellipses if necessary to cut down on the wording. Barry Wom (talk) 11:50, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
okay will add one one the actual list will be in he primary source but it is discussed in the secondary. I am not used to adding book quotes for general food ingredients but will do my best Sharnadd (talk) 12:45, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Someone has now asked for a third book.to be added that describes the base of the dish so.will be doing this Sharnadd (talk) 08:08, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Proposition

[edit]

Hey. I'm Jean Castì. I'd like to propose a more than friendly agreement:

1. Restore the articles on Pablo Escobar; Supergirl 1984 film; Renee Montoya; Fulgencio Batista; Chaim Rumkowski; Carlos Lehder; etc. exactly as I left them, since both are rich in more than reliable sources and arguments.

2. You talk with that administrator to restore the articles I created previously: Óscar Golden; Assassination of Luis Carlos Galán; the Cinematic Development Company (Colombia) ; and Alias El Mexicano. 3. Restore the articles I've also modified, such as Gambit in other media; MCU characters from A to Z, etc., as I left them because, as I said, they also have their sources.

Once you do all of the above, I will no longer return to Wikipedia. You will never hear from me again. Also, based on the fact that even if I'm the one editing, you'll sabotage the development of Wikipedia. Thanx. 2800:484:7382:AD00:15B5:C12:8F9A:491A (talk) 15:50, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No. Barry Wom (talk) 15:51, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're a fu<k¡ng b*st+rd. I made you a more than friendly proposition, but hey, I'll keep editing from any IP address, and while I'm at it, I'll track you down so I can kick your butt. 2800:484:7382:AD00:15B5:C12:8F9A:491A (talk) 15:58, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You'll be completely wasting your time with both endeavours. But that hasn't stopped you in the past, right? Barry Wom (talk) 16:02, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Japan in Sonic 3 article

[edit]

HI Barry. I'm tagging the edit for contradictory. I don't my way is 100% the way to go, but I'm not sure how to organize this. I've found other sources, even Japanese ones, that just refer to Sonic 3 as an American production and have added it to the article. I know the Lumiere source is a respected database, but I'm not sure what to do on this information conflict. Any thoughts? Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:59, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno what the problem is. There's no shortage of sources stating that Marza Animation Planet co-produced the film. Marza is a Japanese company. Therefore Japan is a country of production.
I've added a further ref from The Numbers, although I don't think it was strictly necessary. Barry Wom (talk) 16:37, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
